The Colleges Collective Bargaining Act, 2008, designates the Council as the bargaining agent for Ontario’s colleges in negotiation with the union (OPSEU) representing academic employees within the colleges.
Employer/Employee Relations Committee

Joint Workload Task Force Report – March 2009
Both parties have jointly agreed to publish the Joint Workload Task Force Report – March 2009. The Joint Task Force was led by a neutrally appointed Chair and was established under the terms of the 2005-2009 Academic Collective Agreement. Click here for more information.
Part-Time and Sessional Employees
Part-time and sessional employees are not currently unionized. However, the Colleges Collective Bargaining Act, 2008, has been amended to permit part-time employees in the college system to organize. Click here for more information.
